Hera + Cles. Cleaved from Hera, or rather the "Son" of Hera. Hera actually hated Hercules because he's the son of Zeus and a human mortal woman. In other words, Zeus cheated on Hera. For the nth time.

Opening credit sequences are great and get you into the mood of the film if done well. It's sad to see so many people complain about them. We've been conditioned to think opening title sequences are pointless and need to be skipped.

I'm late to comment on this one but ... There is much more in this film than a lot of people realize. Remember, the beings in the movie aren't robots, they are replicants. You missed it at the beginning - the men who entered the cold laboratory were two of the four replicants. So was the girl in the alleyway burying herself in garbage. You didn't recognize the fourth replicant as the snake dancing woman. They bleed? Of course they do. Remember, they are not robots, they are artificial humans, specially modified for heavy labor and combat. Except Pris, she was a "basic pleasure model" - I'm sure you understand. Going to the off-world colonies was a one-way trip. There's no checking it out - you go, you stay. Important questions are raised in this movie: 1, Is it a good thing or a bad thing to make genetically engineered beings with limited life spans to do society’s dirty work? 2, Are those beings really human or not? 3, Is it a good thing or a bad thing to hunt down those artificial people and kill them when they get out of their place? 4, How can you really tell who is or is not a replicant before you kill them? 5, What do you do when those engineered people develop emotions? Another question comes to mind. Deckard is essentially administering the death penalty to these beings. Other than returning to Earth, what is their crime? Is someone else guilty of something far worse? Who and what? I would say that their "creator" is culpable. After all, the replicants are just doing what they have been made to do (made as in created, not as in forced - except in a way they are forced). Even the "pleasure model" has a killer instinct built in. They would not exist, nor would they do what they do, had Tyrell's company not made them. The way I see it, these artificial people are on their way to becoming human; something their makers did not anticipate. They may not be human yet (or they may be) but they obviously have some form of emotions or at the least proto-emotions (Batty has feelings for Zhora and especially for Pris). His final monologue reveals that the things he has seen and done affected him deeply, again, something his makers probably did not anticipate. Like you, some reactors feel uncomfortable during the scene where Deckard gets intimately aggressive with Rachel. I've heard other reactors mention consent. Another big question: is consent needed from a replicant? After all, she's not a real person. Or is she? She's a replicant but is she a person? She's on Earth illegally so Deckard should by all legal reasons retire her immediately, but he does not. Does this make Deckard a criminal? What is the legally correct thing to do? What is the morally correct thing to do? Is there a conflict? I think that this film addressed a very important question - just because we can do something (like make artificial people to do our dirty work), should we do it? I'm on the "no" side of that question. Someone once illustrated it to me like this: we now have the technology to make a human-chimpanzee hybrid. What happens when someone does it? Do we put him (the hybrid) in the zoo, or do we take him to church? Did you pay attention to the origami - what the figures were and when it was dropped? Did you think of why? Did you get the significance of the discussion after Zhora was retired/killed? When the boss says there are four replicants left, he's including Rachel. Remember her? Why did Roy push the nail through his palm? To release endorphins and extend his life for a few more minutes? Does a nail through a palm call to mind anything else? And, most important of all, do androids dream of electric sheep?

Who would hate you for saying that? I prefer this movie over the Nolan films

You left out my favourite line in the movie: “who always pays their taxes? NOT BATMAN!” If you see this, what was your reaction to that line?

The reason why the drill instructors back then were so tough was because they only had a few weeks to train these guys skills that they were going to need to survive before they went to Vietnam. The average age of a soldier back then was 19, plus if you’re the new guy in a combat situation like Vietnam, your life expectancy was a week. That’s why in a lot of movies whenever there’s a new person, a lot of the guys who have already been there. Don’t wanna know them because chances are they’re gonna get killed. The movie is definitely anti-war, Kubrick was trying to show what happens when you take young boys and turn them into killers. You see this with Pyle, he cracked. If he hadn’t, he would’ve turned into someone like Animal Mother. Say what you will about Animal, But he’s the kind of guy you want on your side in a fight. He may make a lot of inappropriate comments, but he did not want to leave his buddies behind with the sniper out there.

I love watching people watching movies that I love and seeing their reactions. Another of my favorites is "Down Periscope". People think it is a war movie but, it's not. It's comedy and i hope someone will watch it, soon.

The movie opens with his wife's death and it ends with Dante dying so Emotional so much Respect for Kevin Smith and his Crew. MASTERPIECE I SAID IT 😊
